Jun 28th, 2011

Over at The Rumpus, Lincoln and I slowly unfold the next chapter of our hyena’s continuing struggle.

At JMWW, I have a couple more atrocities. I really like the section that John Madera curating. Includes a bunch of my favorites: David Peak, Zumas & Dipierro, and Ken Sparling.

Unnameable Tomorrow – Reading with Sara Faye Lieber and Amy McDaniel

Jun 22nd, 2011

Amy is going to educate women in Bangladesh. She is saying to farewell to our fair country. This reading will be al fresco, and New York is in the middle of the mildest July we’ve had in years. Come sit atop the soft pebbles of Unnameable Books backyard, have a drink, and Sara, Amy, and I will read you some stories.

Here’s the facebook info…

A Squirrel and a Millionaire

May 12th, 2011

The new Animals in Midlife Crises went up at The Rumpus a few days ago. This one asks the questions: “Is there such thing as too many nuts?” The other news over at The Rumpus is that they’ve added Tony Millionaire to the comics page. You’ll be able to read his Maakies strip there (beside AIMC) every week.

(Next up: Lincoln and I contribute our first full-color Sunday-style strip.)

Gigantic #3 Launch Party is going to be fun-

May 6th, 2011

-with or without Four Loko. Which in its fully taurinated caffeinated form is supposedly hard to come by, but it does seem that everyone has a stash. Lincoln Michel at one point had a stash, and he was doling it out at the last GIGANTIC party. The next party, which is on Friday, May 20 (and which I will also be reading at), has not promised any Four Loko. But, considering the Gigantic track record, you never know. The other problem is Four Loko is disgusting, and, if you’re anything like me, you don’t even want to drink it anyway.

This party will be fun – with readers, but in a minimum impact sort of way. Most of the reading can be done the day after the party with your crisp, still dry issue of the magazine.

Matchbook Atrocity

Apr 29th, 2011

My friend Edward Mullany just acted as the OB on my newest atrocity “Guilt” at his Matchbook site. I love reading that site – the editors invite authors to comment on short pieces that they’ve written (which is something I’d like to see more of), so I’m particularly glad to be a part of it.
